By accessing this website, purchasing a course, enrolling in training, downloading training materials or using our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree with these terms, please do not purchase or use our online training or services.

2. Online Training Academy

Knight’s Fire Safety Online Training Academy provides self-paced educational courses that may include presentations, downloadable materials, videos, knowledge checks and Certificates of Completion.

Unless otherwise stated on the individual course page, online courses generally require participants to:

  1. Review the required training materials;
  2. Complete the applicable knowledge check;
  3. Achieve the required passing score; and
  4. Provide accurate information for their Certificate of Completion.

Most Knight’s Fire Safety online courses currently require a minimum score of 70%.

Participants may retake applicable knowledge checks when unlimited attempts are included with the purchased course.

3. Certificate of Completion

Participants who successfully complete the applicable course requirements may receive a personalized Certificate of Completion.

A Certificate of Completion confirms successful completion of the applicable Knight’s Fire Safety training course.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, a Certificate of Completion:

  • Is not a professional license;
  • Is not a government-issued certification;
  • Does not independently authorize the participant to perform regulated work;
  • Does not replace licenses, permits or certifications required by law; and
  • Does not guarantee that an employer, regulatory agency or other organization will accept the course for a particular requirement.

Participants are responsible for determining whether a particular course satisfies the requirements of their employer, organization, jurisdiction or regulatory authority.

4. Employer and Site-Specific Responsibilities

Knight’s Fire Safety online courses provide general safety education.

Employers remain responsible for determining and complying with workplace-specific requirements that apply to their employees, facilities and operations.

Online training may not replace required site-specific instruction concerning matters such as:

  • Emergency Action Plans;
  • Evacuation routes;
  • Assembly areas;
  • Workplace-specific hazards;
  • Alarm systems;
  • Assigned emergency responsibilities;
  • Fire prevention procedures;
  • Emergency equipment;
  • Employer policies; or
  • Other training required by applicable laws or regulations.

Employers should supplement online education with workplace-specific information whenever required or appropriate.

5. Fire Extinguisher Training

Fire extinguisher training provided through Knight’s Fire Safety is intended to educate participants regarding general fire extinguisher safety, fire classifications, extinguisher selection, basic inspection awareness and the P.A.S.S. technique.

Completing an online fire extinguisher course does not authorize a participant to enter or remain in dangerous fire conditions.

Participants should never attempt to fight a fire when conditions are unsafe, the fire is spreading, smoke or heat presents a danger, an appropriate extinguisher is unavailable, a safe exit is not available or evacuation has been ordered.

During an actual emergency, life safety and evacuation take priority.

6. Fire Extinguisher Inspection Training

Knight’s Fire Safety Fire Extinguisher Inspection Training covers routine visual inspection and awareness.

Completion of this course does not qualify or authorize a participant to perform professional fire extinguisher servicing, recharging, repairs, internal maintenance, hydrostatic testing or other regulated fire protection work.

Defective, damaged, discharged or questionable equipment should be referred to an appropriately qualified service provider when required.

7. Workplace Fire Warden Training

Workplace Fire Warden Training prepares designated employees to assist with evacuation and other assigned emergency responsibilities.

Fire wardens are not firefighters solely because they have completed this training.

Participants should never enter dangerous fire, smoke or heat conditions to perform a sweep, search for another person or complete an assigned fire warden responsibility.

Employers remain responsible for establishing workplace-specific fire warden procedures and assignments.

8. Emergency, Earthquake and Wildfire Information

Emergency conditions are unpredictable and can change rapidly.

Information contained in Knight’s Fire Safety training is educational and should not replace instructions issued by fire departments, law enforcement agencies, emergency management authorities or other authorized public officials during an actual emergency.

Participants should follow official warnings, evacuation orders, shelter instructions and other emergency directions applicable to their location.

9. Individual Course Access

Unless Knight’s Fire Safety specifically authorizes otherwise, a single individual course purchase provides training access for one participant.

Course links, passwords, access codes, training materials and knowledge checks may not be shared with unauthorized users.

Businesses or organizations training multiple employees must purchase the appropriate number of course enrollments or arrange an approved group-training agreement with Knight’s Fire Safety.

Unauthorized sharing may result in suspension or termination of course access.

10. Course Materials and Intellectual Property

All Knight’s Fire Safety training materials, presentations, course content, graphics, written materials, tests, instructional materials, branding and other original content are protected intellectual property belonging to Knight’s Fire Safety and/or T Knight Productions Ltd., except where third-party materials are used under applicable permission or license.

Purchasing a course provides a limited right to use the training materials for the purchaser’s personal or authorized internal training purposes.

Course materials may not be:

  • Resold;
  • Republished;
  • Uploaded to another website or training platform;
  • Distributed publicly;
  • Copied for unauthorized participants;
  • Used to create competing training products;
  • Reproduced commercially; or
  • Modified and represented as Knight’s Fire Safety training

without prior written authorization.

11. Account, Password and Access Security

Customers are responsible for protecting course passwords, access links and other login information provided to them.

You may not intentionally provide protected course access to individuals who have not purchased or otherwise been authorized to participate in the training.

Knight’s Fire Safety may change access credentials or restrict access when unauthorized distribution, misuse or suspicious activity is identified.

12. Pricing and Payment

Course prices are displayed at the time of purchase.

Prices may be changed at any time for future purchases. A later price change will not normally affect an order that has already been completed.

Payment must be successfully processed before access to paid training is provided unless Knight’s Fire Safety has approved another arrangement.

13. Refunds for Online Courses

Because Knight’s Fire Safety online courses provide access to digital training materials, course content and/or protected training resources after purchase, online course purchases are generally non-refundable once course access has been provided or training materials have been accessed or downloaded.

If you accidentally purchase the wrong course, are charged more than once for the same transaction or experience a technical problem that prevents access to purchased training, contact Knight’s Fire Safety as soon as possible.

Knight’s Fire Safety may issue a refund, replacement access or other resolution when appropriate based on the circumstances.

Nothing in this policy limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.

14. Group and Business Training

Businesses, employers and organizations may purchase training for multiple participants.

Group purchases may be subject to separate pricing, invoicing, enrollment procedures or written agreements.

Each participant must complete the applicable training and knowledge check individually unless Knight’s Fire Safety expressly provides another approved training format.

Certificates may not be issued to individuals who did not complete the applicable course requirements.

15. Accurate Participant Information

Customers and participants are responsible for providing accurate information, including names and email addresses.

Certificate information may be generated using information submitted by the participant.

Knight’s Fire Safety is not responsible for errors resulting from inaccurate information submitted by a participant or purchaser.

Requests to correct certificate information may be reviewed and corrected when appropriate.

16. Technology Requirements

Online training requires access to a compatible internet-connected device and software capable of viewing the course materials.

Knight’s Fire Safety cannot guarantee that every website, file or training feature will operate on every device, browser, network or third-party system.

If a technical problem with Knight’s Fire Safety prevents you from accessing purchased training, please contact us so that we can attempt to resolve the issue.

17. No Guarantee of Emergency Outcomes

Safety training can improve knowledge and preparedness, but no training program can eliminate all hazards or guarantee a particular outcome during an emergency.

Knight’s Fire Safety does not guarantee that completing a course will prevent a fire, earthquake, wildfire, injury, property loss or other emergency event.

Actual emergencies involve circumstances that may differ substantially from training examples.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Knight’s Fire Safety and T Knight Productions Ltd. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our website, online training or educational materials.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

19. Third-Party Services

Knight’s Fire Safety may use third-party services to provide website hosting, payment processing, forms, videos, documents, email communications, scheduling or other website functions.

Those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy practices.

Knight’s Fire Safety is not responsible for interruptions or failures caused solely by third-party services outside our reasonable control.

20. Website Availability

We attempt to maintain reliable access to our website and online courses but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.

The Privacy Policy explains how personal information may be collected, used, stored and disclosed.

23. Changes to Courses

Knight’s Fire Safety may periodically revise training materials to improve course content, update information, correct errors or address changes in recognized safety practices or applicable requirements.

Course titles, content, duration, assessments and availability may therefore change.

24. Changes to These Terms

Knight’s Fire Safety may update these Terms & Conditions periodically.

Updated Terms will be posted on this website with a revised effective date.

Continued use of the website or purchase of future services following an update constitutes acceptance of the Terms applicable at that time.
